As communicated to you in April, we will be reaching our next major milestone very soon! On May 23, 2023, we will be combining the La Capitale and SSQ Savings & Investment products to be sold under Beneva. We chose the best from both offers so that partnering with Beneva adds value to your business.
Below, you will find a few important updates and impacts to keep in mind. |

To comply with the segregated fund industry new regulatory standards, Beneva has reviewed its sales charge option offer. Consequently, as of May 23rd, the following two options will no longer be available for new sales: front-load sale charges and back-load sales charges. No-load and advisor chargeback options will be available for new sales. We can only accept deposits into front-load sale charges and back-load sales charges until Friday, May 19, 2023 4:00 PM ET as these options will be closed effective Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Please ensure that your pending transfers from other institutions also reach us by Friday, May 19 4:00 PM ET. Fund transfers received from relinquishing financial institutions, on or after May 23rd, with back-end load (RF) or low-load fee (MF) investment instructions, will be processed into the equivalent no-load series in order to preserve the trade date. Access to Secure Advisor Investment Site |

As of May 23rd, to submit your electronic trade requests or PDFs, you must go through the secure advisor investment site (via the ssq.ca portal): - If you already have an access code, no action is required on your part as your login credentials will remain unchanged.
- If you do not have an access code, a communication will be sent to you in the coming weeks. You can also refer to your Managing General Agent about this matter the week of May 23rd.
There is no change if you are using the Mobile Office app.

Application Forms and Other Documents |

Updated application forms as well as other contractual documents will be available in fillable PDF format as of May 23rd. We highly encourage the use of electronic versions whenever possible. Should you need to place an order for documents and forms, including paper-based applications, please use the Beneva Marketing Material Online Order Form that will be available online as of May 23rd. Until then, please continue placing your document orders the same way you do now.
Mobile Office Update
The updated application forms will be available in the Mobile Office app on May 23rd. |

Individual Insurance Update: Universal Life |

Effective May 23, 2023, the designated fund names for Universal Life insurance actively managed investment accounts will be changed from SSQ GIFs to Beneva GIFs. Note that the illustration software will be updated with these new names at the next launch, which will take place after May 23rd.
