Thank you for your support of our High-Net-Worth (HNW) Householding Initiative for clients invested in Canada Life segregated funds. For those who have already been involved in this work, we appreciate your efforts to help ensure eligible clients benefit from appropriate householding.

An enhanced approach to householding
We’re committed to helping you ensure your clients receive the pricing opportunities they’re eligible for. We’re making householding more proactive, with enhanced reporting, updated forms and additional support to help you identify potential households and document client decisions.

Important: Watch this brief video for training on what’s changing and what you’ll need to do. If you’re directed to the Advisor Workspace login page, please note that after you sign in, you may need to re-click the link above. We’ll share additional resources and support in the coming weeks.

Retroactive payments
As we communicated to affected advisors earlier this year, we’re preparing to issue retroactive payments to eligible clients where Household Eligible Asset Forms have been submitted and processed, as applicable. If you have impacted clients, we’ll contact you with more details ahead of retroactive payments being issued.

Outreach to former clients
As a next step in the initiative, we’re also contacting certain former clients directly.

Canada Life will be mailing letters to former clients asking them to contact us. When they do, we’ll ask whether they agree to be householded. Their consent is needed before we can determine whether they may have been eligible for lower fees.

There’s no action required from you in relation to this outreach. We wanted to let you know in case a former client contacts you after receiving our letter.

Thank you for your continued support as we complete this important client-focused work.

If you have questions about this, please contact your Canada Life representative or aligned wealth wholesaler.
